Music festival season is here and the lineups are rolling in faster than Springtime in NYC. So while we continue to deal with lingering arctic chills while the rest of the Earth seems to be frolicking in sunshine, I take refuge in checking out super rad music festivals that I would much rather be at. This time around, we are stoked about the indie-rock fest Festival Marvin in Mexico City, now in its fourth year.
Happening for one day on May 17, the festival will have over 50 bands, both national and international, on eight stages in the Roma-Contesa district of D.F. The line-up keeps growing, but so far names like the psychedelic rock legend Daniel Johnston, Danny Brown, Enjambre, Hawaiian Gremlins, and Banda de Turistas already guarantee a kick-ass time of diverse tunes to groove to and discover. In addition to stages, the ground will be full of art installations and film screenings from Cut Out Fest, Mexico’s largest animation and digital art festival.
