The latest? None other than Normani, who recently spoke about her admiration for Rosalía’s latest album. What can we say? It’s a Motomami world we’re living in. During a recent video interview with iHeartRadio, the former Fifth Harmony member mentioned her love for the “MOTOMAMI” singer. In a segment of rapid questions, the host asked Normani what song she currently has on repeat. “Motomami by Rosalía, that album was so good,” the “Wild Side” singer responded.
When asked about a future collaboration, she said: “I want to so bad. Let’s create, girl! The visual would be out of this world.” Can y’all imagine a collaboration between the two powerhouses? We can already envision an epic pop crossover.
In 2020, we had a little taste of the two in the same space when Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” came out. You may recall that both artists made cameos in the eclectic music video that featured a roster of high-profile names.
This isn’t the first time Normani has shared her appreciation for the “SAOKO” singer-songwriter. In 2019, Normani posted an Instagram story of her listening to Rosalía’s “Milionària” with a caption saying “ilyyyy✨.” Could it be that the love is mutual?
It’s been a collaboration that fans of both pop stars have been manifesting. Another Twitter user responded: “We want to collab with Cardi and Normani this summer,” to Rosalía when she asked her Twitter fanbase to tell her something that they wanted to know but hasn’t been asked yet.
Both artists appear to be busy, though – Normani’s currently promoting her newest song “Fair,” while Rosalia is preparing for her upcoming world tour. Will their timeline ever align? We’ll have to wait to find out!
