Year after year, ever since its first edition, music nerds have flocked to Festival Nrmal to discover exciting new projects and catch some of their favorite cult acts, most of which haven’t played in Mexico before. For the eighth consecutive year – and fourth taking place in Mexico City – the two-day event is changing its location to the Estadio Palillo Martínez in Ciudad Deportiva, bringing more than 40 of the coolest up-and-coming bands and artists from all over the globe, in addition to the indie heavyhitters.

At the end of 2016, we already knew this year’s lineup would include Psychic TV and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, but today the organizers are revealing the full lineup, so you can stop biting whatever’s left of your nails. As usual, they got the Latinx front well-covered, led by the return of Argentine electro duo Mueran Humanos, Monterrey synth pop duo Clubz, and Chilean chanteuse Camila Moreno. 2016 year-end list-smashers like Jesse Baez and Lorelle Meets the Obsolete are joining the party, and so are experimental club producers like Tomás Urquieta, as well as AyeAye from Chile and Las Hermanas from Colombia. Plus, rising new local acts like OLY, Girl Ultra, FNTXY & Yoga Fire, and Trementina will show you what they’re made of.

Don’t worry if you don’t know many of the names on the lineup; Nrmal has earned its forward-thinking curatorial reputation for a reason, so open your mind and get ready to be surprised. See the full list below, including acts from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, and many, many more.

Nrmal hits Mexico City on March 11 and 12, 2017. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
