The “biggest night in Latin music” has just gotten bigger with the announcement of several additional musicians who will be performing at the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards next month.

New to the lineup are Rubén Blades, Paula Arenas, Nella, Ozuna, Danna Paola, and C. Tangana. Blades was already set to have a memorable night at the ceremony. He will accept the 2021 Person of the Year award from the Latin Recording Academy.

“I am grateful to the Latin Academy for this recognition, and I share it with everyone who has helped me throughout my artistic life,” Blades said this past summer. “Success is never the product of a sole individual’s effort, it’s the consequence of many contributions and the will and talent of other people. Today, I thank all those who made my successful career as a musician and composer possible.”

Along with his 2021 Person of the Year award and now an anticipated performance, Blades is also nominated for Album of the Year for Salswing! and Best Salsa Album for Salsa Plus!

Previously announced bands and artists that will perform include Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, Calibre 50, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho and Los Dos Carnales.

This year’s award-show theme is “Rediscovering Life Through Music.” Through inspirational storytelling, Latin Grammy producers hope audiences can “rediscover what’s important in life using music as a storyline.”

Ana Brenda Contreras, Carlos Rivera and Roselyn Sánchez are hosting this year’s event. The 22nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards will broadcast live on Univision on November 18, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET.
