It’s official: the cholo goth baby of the century has finally arrived. Kat Von D and Prayers’ Leafer Seyer have taken us through ever step their goth love on Instagram, including the announcement of their pregnancy back in May. Now the couple has shared the first photos of their son Leafar Von D Reyes on the social media platform. “Meet our beautiful baby boy,” wrote Kat Von D along with a photo of her partner in front of an appropriately spooky baby buggy. “To be honest, my husband @prayers and I want to take the next 40 days [the 4th trimester] to focus on the baby and our amazing relationship transitioning into amazing parenthood – so, please excuse us if we’re not on here as much for a little while,” the makeup mogul and tattoo artist shared.

The Prayers member posted more photos of the newborn on his own Instagram page. “What’s above love? My wife and son are,” he wrote. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life! This year has given me so much to be happy and grateful for. I love you so much kitty I’ve never seen anyone fight for anything the way you fought to bring our son into this world.”

It’s not surprising if this happy moment is met with some backlash, however; back in June, Kat Von D announced she wouldn’t vaccinate her child – a divisive choice, since some argue that inoculations protect children from diseases like measles and whopping cough, while others believe vaccines are tied to autism. After that announcement, Kat Von D received criticism from some of her followers for spreading misinformation and endangering children who cannot get vaccines and rely on others to get inoculated so they can stay healthy.

The baby comes six months after the couple’s opulent heaven-and-hell-themed wedding, which included a macabre candle installation, a vegan, castle-shaped cake, and custom skull invitations.
