On Nov. 29, the Primavera Sound festival announced its stellar lineup for next year’s double installments in Spain. The festival dates will be celebrated from June 1 to 3 at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona and from June 8 to 10 at the Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey in Madrid.

The gender-balanced list includes over 200 performances across the two highly-anticipated weekends. As far as Latine talent goes, the festival spotlights global artists of all calibers from Puerto Rico to Brazil. It features the presence of DJ Playero, Tokischa, Villano Antillano, Isabella Lovestory, and Mora. It also includes The Mars Volta, Trueno, LSDXOXO, Los Hacheros, Eddie Palmieri, and Terno Rei.

The festival’s headliners include Blur, Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, Depeche Mode, Rosalía, and Calvin Harris. Other anticipated names are FKA Twigs, Bad Gyal, Skrillex, St. Vincent, The Moldy Peaches, and Le Tigre.

But that’s not all. Primavera Sound 2023 is hosting free opening and closing events. On May 31, the opening event will feature Pet Shop Boys, Jake Bugg, Confidence Man, and La Paloma at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. The same lineup will play at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid on June 7. The closing party features Ben Böhmer, Camelphat, Diplo and Purple Disco Machine, and others in the venue mentioned above in Madrid on June 4 and in Barcelona on June 11.

What to expect? The full lineup spans punk, K-pop, Afrobeats, hip-hop, reggaeton, metal, electronic, techno, and salsa, to mention a few. Just like in previous years, the organizers pride themselves in providing a gender-balanced lineup, as well as a lineup that everyone can enjoy.

In fact, next year’s slogan is “I’ll be your mirror,” which the press release further describes as: “Look for yourself in the Primavera Sound 2023 line-up… and find yourself. Because we assure you that you are there.”
