Legendary rock group El Tri returns to the United States with Chido Fest 2012. Alex Lora & Co. will play a handful of concert dates alongside a number of other influential artists from Mexico’s Rock scene.

El Tri will celebrate more than 40 years of rocanrol (originally as Three Souls In My Mind) with their friends Celso Piña, La Lupita, Inspector and Charlie Monttana. This is kind the Mexican version of watching The Rolling Stones tour with Bruce Springsteen, The Who, and Yann Tiersen, for those of you who lack some knowledge in Mexican rock.

The group released its latest album, Libertad Incondicional, last year on the heels of Chido Fest 2011 and founder Alex Lora was awarded the Premio a La Excelencia Musical de la Academia Latina de la Grabación at the 2011 Latin Grammys (longest name evaaa, but hey names as long as Juana De Los Apostoles Covadonga Contreras are pretty common). These dudes may be pushing the retirement age to the limit (no word on their AARP status), but they still know how to write a good tune and put on a good show. So check out the tour dates are below:
