After announcing they’d play a few reunion shows – the first of which notably is set to take place in El Paso, Texas (where a domestic terrorist recently murdered 22 people in a local Wal-Mart) – Rage Against the Machine have now unveiled plans for an extensive seven-month tour with Run the Jewels as support.

The band – who last performed as a full outfit in 2011 – announced the new dates in addition to their original dates, which included a headlining at Coachella and Boston Calling.

Kicking off their tour in El Paso is of course an interesting choice given the recent attention the city has recieved as a result of the shootings, but it’s not just an empty gesture. In a statement to The Detroit Free Press, proceeds from the band’s first three shows will go directly to immigrant rights support groups.
