RBD fans around the world rejoiced on Sunday night (November 20) when the Mexican telenovela band reunited in new photos. Five of the six members came together with business managers around, so maybe something more could be coming from RBD soon.

The RBD nostalgia has been at an all-time high this past year. In June, Anahí was a special guest at Karol G’s concert in Mexico City. The two artists performed a special duet of RBD’s classic “Sálvame.” Dulce María later joined the 2000s Pop Tour in Mexico to perform RBD’s hits throughout the country. Bad Bunny also name-checked RBD in the song “Me Porto Bonito” from his blockbuster album Un Verano Sin Ti.

As far as reunions go this year, previously, only four of the six members had reunited. Back in October, Anahí, Christian Chávez, and Christopher von Uckermann were guests at bandmate Maite Perroni’s wedding. Anahí led the group in an impromptu performance of “Sálvame” during the after-party.

Now, Anahí, Dulce María, Chávez, von Uckermann, and Perroni were photographed at a dinner together. The sixth member, Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera, has previously stated that he’s now focused on his acting career that has seen him star in shows in the U.S. and Mexico. Though he wasn’t present for the reunion, Herrera left a sweet comment on one of the photos.

“I would have loved to join you guys! Hugs!” he wrote in Spanish. Anahí responded to him, saying, “We missed you. What a pity that you couldn’t come.” She also included a chair emoji in her comment in that there’s always a place for him at the table.

Guillermo Rosas, who manages RBD’s catalog of hits and Anahí, was present with them at dinner. Maybe after seeing all the love for RBD this past year, the special meeting was for a more formal reunion in the future? Only time will tell if the five members will be back onstage together soon.
