King Louie and Principe CU, aka Luis Espada (of Peligrosa) and Svani Quintanilla (Selena‘s nephew), dropped a bouncer on us yesterday morning. Together they are known as Royal Highness and their giddily titled Screwmbia EP is sure to blast at house parties across the entire ghetto-tech kingdom. These magnanimous lords of the bass-heavy remix have blessed Texas and the world with vigorous renditions of Selena’s classic “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” and given their all on “Driver,” a dangerously dark and vintage track. “Diamante,” a gritty, slurry, and hard-hitting ditty, and their version of “K Le Pasa,” are two other stand-outs on this release. The EP combines trap and cumbia, among other things. Put your dancing shoes and glass slippers on, dames and noble gents. The party is at your Royal Highness chateau.
