We’re a couple of days late on this, but give us a break, it didn’t even happen in the US! We caught Spain’s own Russian Red along with Argentina’s Alvy, Nacho y Rubin (performing as Los Camps Magnéticos) giving The Magnetic Fields the Spanish treatment at a club in Argentina, interpreting the 69 Love Songs-included “All my little words” (via Zona Indie).
Russian Red’s voice is not like Stephin Merritt’s, which makes it her own. It’s nice to see they kept the lyrics almost intact, except for the wonderful inclusion of “Ni recorra la Argentina,” substituting “Not for all North Carolina.” Watch it below and swoon!
