Kali Uchis’s new Spanglish song is sexy and cultured. On Friday (Aug. 4), the Colombian-American singer dropped her new single, “Muñekita” featuring City Girls’ JT and El Alfa.
Kali had been teasing the new song via her Tiktok, where she previewed a mystery feature artist, and to our surprise, there were two. City Girls’ JT shared her excitement for the project via Instagram, writing, “JT Medellínnnn🎀🔥🌸🍒 A dream!”. The rapper’s verse has the ultimate Latine instant remedy for injuries, “Sana sana colita de rana.”
El Alfa brought Kali’s vision to life by adding his signature dembow flare to the track. He raps, “Te lleno la cuna de la vaina blanca, soy el presidente que tu nalga comanda.” “Muñekita” marks the beginning of Kali’s new Spanglish music era.
She expressed her gratitude to El Alfa and JT on Instagram, saying, “With great pride I am starting this new era with you and two artists I admire a lot,” she wrote in Spanish. “Thank u both for being a part of this. I love bringing artists together that no one would expect. TO A NEW ERA, CHEERS!”
JT responded to Kali, writing, “A dream, thank you so much kali for having me! This definitely a party starting record! 💘🎀🎉💃🏾”.
The fans flooded the comments with excitement. One wrote, “kali you are serving us a full course rn.” Another fan wrote, “EL ALFA AND JT AND KALI?! THE HOLY FKN TRINITY”.
This trio collab comes after the drop of Kali’s third studio album Red Moon In Venus, which came out back in March and earned her first entry in the Billboard 200 top 10.
Kali is gearing up to start her Red Moon in Venus Tour Part II in September. The second leg of her tour is taking over the west coast, stopping in Las Vegas, NV, and four California cities: San Diego, Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles. The sixth and final show will be in El Paso, TX.
