Señor Flavio is a prolific producer and songwriter. If you miss Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, then the closest you’re going to get to that crazy ska-rock-n-roll-infused beach psychedelia is through the revival of Señor Flavio with his last year’s release, Nueva Ola. It might have fallen off some of our Argentine loving radars since “El secreto” launched as the premiere single oh so many months ago, but Nacional Records is hitting the campaign hard with another video/single from the album.

That roots jiving, multi-genre approach to montaged music doesn’t get old. Señor Flavio’s intentions on this album were super sincere and family oriented. That feel-good orientation doesn’t stop and you can keep jumping around to that surfer-skater-punky cool wave for eternity.

On the hardest and fastes track off Nueva Ola, Señor Flavio notes in a Nacional EPK video interview that the song was dedicated to all his skater friends. I’ve always wanted to be a skater, busting my knees and elbows up on concrete and metal posts across town, but I’ll leave that to the more adventurous kids and the pros.
