Shakira is celebrating 20 years of an iconic track in a huge way. On Apr. 29, the Colombian superstar revealed that she’s performing “Hips Don’t Lie” alongside Wyclef Jean on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on May 6. She will also be featured on Fallon’s show on two other occasions.
“Mark your calendars! @shakira is performing “Hips Don’t Lie” ft. @wyclefjean in honor of its 20th anniversary on Tuesday, May 6th! ✨ #ShakiraOnFallon #FallonTonight,” the popular television show announced online.
Shakira reposted the post on Instagram story with the caption: “@jimmyfallon, I can’t wait to be back- right before I kick off my North American stadium tour! I’ll be singing songs I know you like… get your hips ready!”
“Hips Don’t Lie” is celebrating two decades of success this year. The iconic song featuring the Haitian rapper was originally released in 2005, as part of Shak’s Oral Fixation Vol. 2. The collaboration marked both artists’ first No. 1 placement on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in June 2006.

Moreover, Billboard also revealed that Shakira will be featured in two more episodes of The Tonight Show. Beyond the performance on Tuesday (May 6), Fallon will also air an interview about the popular collaboration, her recent album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, and her upcoming tour. This episode will air on May 8.
If that’s not enough, the aforementioned media outlet also unveiled that there will be a third segment of Shakira performing her classic hit “Antología” on the same show next month. However, details of the latter episode are yet to be revealed.
All of this will lead up to her first U.S. performance of her highly anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which kicks off at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC (May 13). Alejandro Sanz is set to join Shakira on her first U.S. performance.
