This past November, we were introduced to La Jardinera, the solo debut of global pop ensemble Pacifika‘s leading chanteuse, Silvana Kane. Nomadic and currently living in Vancouver, Silvana roots musically closer to the Afro-Peruvian folklore of her native country, and does marvelously well throughout the record. With a hinge of haunt and chill up your spine, Silvana’s new work celebrates and embraces her ancestors and Peru’s musical and mystique heritage.
With such a powerful yet lulling approach, Silvana hypnotizes with her sincerity and conscientious questions of tact, humanity, restoration, and awareness in this featured clip and first single, “Cruces.” This woman looks gorgeous as ever you can’t look away– the still camera solely focuses on her face and majestic eyes while Ms. Kane serenades us, and the contrast her face change moods.
