The Silverlake Jubilee returns this year for Memorial Day Weekend (May 26 & 27) to make up for the gaping hole left by the bankrupt Sunset Junction Festival and, though the shoes are big ones to fill, the folks over at the Los Angeles Arts & Athletics Alliance are definitely trying.
The fest takes place in LA’s Santa Monica Blvd. and the first round of performers announced include three of our favorite artists: Kinky, local darlings La Santa Cecilia, and Las Cafeteras. The fact they scored Kinky is pretty huge. The last time we saw them was in front of a huge crowd at the Nokia Theatre.
Other artists announced include Abe Vigodah, Autolux, Incan Abraham, and Tearist. More will be announced during the following weeks. Did we mention it’s only $20?!
