Sonidos Latinos Takes on Ambitious Project to Bring Latin Music to the Masses

SoL (Sonidos Latinos) is a new platform for Latin American music industry professionals. SoL is building a coalition of Latin America’s industry heavy hitters with the hopes of garnering visibility on the international stage.

By pooling resources and industry expertise, SoL will bring together government institutions, private organizations, creative agencies, artists, and industry professionals to cultivate marketing and development strategies for Latin American music in international markets. To accomplish its mission, the initiative plans to offer networking opportunities, promo and publicity consultations, artist showcases, exclusive conferences, and more. Founded by JAU, the coalition is also geographically diverse, encompassing partners from 14 countries across the region.

The coalition will officially launch at WOMEX 2016, one of the world’s biggest trade fairs, which will take place in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain on October 19-23, 2016.
