Spanish sweethearts Deers are bubbling up fast. And I mean FAST. Having only a two-track demo on Soundcloud (and a limited number of copies on vinyl), these ladies have already managed to tour Europe, earn opening slots for The Libertines, play at Bestival, and appear on publications like NME. Not bad, huh?
Deers just put out their new single called “Castigadas en el granero,” and it’s the first taste we get of Barn, their upcoming 7″, out on November 3 through Lucky Number / Mom + Pop. Backed by “Between Cans,” this song is also the first one featuring their brand new four-piece formation. The track, sung in English, is a charming little garage pop tune which sounds like a welcomed evolution from what they presented on their demo. Ana and Carlotta’s voices duel on the chorus, singing catchy melodies, and right in the middle section there’s a pretty and interesting instrumental break, just to shake things up a little. Deers are bringing it.
