A few weeks ago, we hit up SXSW with one thing in mind: Who’re the current best of the best emerging and sick Latin artists of today? Sure, we have our all time faves, but what other sounds out there will rock our world for what’s left of 2012, and maybe further down the road? We were glad to arrive at the end of our quest. We came down to three acts from different parts of the world who carry on very unique and original styles. Ladies and gents, meet Mexico’s Alt-Norteño wunderkind Juan Cirerol (@ NaCo Showcase), Colombian Dixie swing septet Monsieur Periné (@ Nacional Records Showcase), and Spanish jazz boogie trio Guadalupe Plata (@ Sounds From Spain showcase).
