The Latin Grammys Confirm New Spain Location & Date

After the shocking news that it would move across the Atlantic, the Latin Recording Academy finally confirmed the exact location for this year’s Latin Grammy Awards. The annual award show will be held for the firs -time ever at the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) in Seville, Spain, on Nov. 16.

“It is an honor to celebrate our Latin GRAMMY Week in Sevilla and commit to our mission of elevating Latin music and its creators around the world,” the CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, Manuel Abud, said in a press statement. “We are confident that it will be a memorable celebration.”

The special and highly-anticipated week will kick off a three-year partnership between the Latin Recording Academy and the Junta de Andalucía. This year’s Latin Grammy week will continue with its signature events, such as the Person of the Year Gala, the Special Awards Presentation, the Leading Ladies of Entertainment lunch, and the Best New Artist showcase. It will also include a nominee reception.

Though the festivities will be held in Spain, the ceremony will be broadcasted through TelevisaUnivision, in partnership with the Radio Televisión Española (RTVE). “We are thrilled to produce the Latin GRAMMYs for the first time this year in Spain, and in a new partnership with the prestigious RTVE,” the President of the U.S. Networks at TelevisaUnivision, Ignacio Meyer, said about the collaboration.

He continued: “This is an extraordinary moment for Latin music globally and we are confident that this partnership with RTVE, and the passion and energy that Univision brings to the show, will make history and deliver an unforgettable experience for audiences who love and enjoy music all around the world.”

The official nominees for the 24th annual Latin Grammy Awards will be announced on Sep. 19. The ceremony’s telecast will air through Univision in the U.S. and Radio Televisión Española in Spain.
