Costa Rican music blog Dance to the Radio always has its ear tuned to the music underground; it’s become one of our go-tos to get the scoop on what’s up-and-coming in Costa Rica. And now, DTTR is turning their eye toward the bourgeoning indie music scene in Lima, Peru, where artists making everything from smooth electro-folk to dance pop to dense indie rock have been cropping up.
To showcase these artists and build dialogue across Latin America’s indie scenes, DTTR will be teaming up with other music blogs across the region to create Soundscape, a series of new talent showcases.
The series kicked off in Costa Rica, and included acoustic performances from Florian Droids and The King Of, and for this second edition in Lima – hosted in partnership with label Neos Perú – Soundscape is set to deliver a mini festival featuring Eva & John, Las Conchas Negras, Ravelers, The Satellite and Serto Mercurio.
The show will happen April 30th at Bar Lima, where two visual installations will also take place.
If you want to know more bands from Perú, head over to Neos Perú’s bandcamp and listen to the fresh, 31-track compilation they made (along other Latin American indie blogs) of some of Peru’s most exciting new talent.
