Camila Moreno’s latest single isn’t as hard-nosed or radical as “Raptado,” so its video needed to be quieter, subtler, but no less brilliant. “Te Quise,” directed by Joaquín Cociña and Cristóbal León, depicts Moreno’s lyrics playfully but literally. It’s about that point in a relationship when the other starts to feel like an accessory, like someone that you walk around with to feel only the comforts of consistency and touch. But, in the end, you have to burn that person alive. OK, well that last part is an overstatement, but you get what I mean. Moreno, meanwhile, beautifully wisps the song through still pianos and tiny orchestral flourishes. Listen and watch below.
