Chile’s resident folk freak Camila Moreno has released the video for “Raptado,” her new single off Panal (which shares its name with Nicole‘s latest album). The melancholic yet aggressive track captures a sweeter sound than what you’ve come to expect from her (“Incendié,” “Cae y Calla“) and the video treatment reflects that same sentiment. The clip features Ms. Moreno in the middle of a beautiful Chilean landscape inhabited by creepy, cloaked men and red balloons. The art direction takes its cue from Chicago-based photographer Kyle Thompson‘s series that juxtaposes smoke, balloons, and mirrors with forests and nature. “Raptado” further demonstrates Moreno’s willingness to experiment and fortifies her niche in the Chilean pop scene.
