Summer is almost here and I’m already selecting this song as the indie summer hit to be on high rotation in my headphones during all my upcoming bike rides to the beach.
With a simple, but effective, formula, Cineplexx—a.k.a. Sebastián Litmanovich, the Argentine who found his second home in London—combined Brazilian influences (the album is called Florianopolis, after a popular vacation destination in southern Brazil, especially amongst Argentine tourists) with a clean, elegant version of Afrobeat and tropical psychedelia and the results are nothing short of irresistible.
Cineplexx wants to see you again, that’s the whole message of this song, and if I were you I’d wanna see Cineplexx again too.
