While we all awaited the video for “Madafaka” (their collaboration with Molotov) that had been announced months ago, the Argentine duo surprised their fans last night with an animated third single from their unanimously acclaimed reunion album, Chances.
Back in the early ’90s I used to run into these guys in Buenos Aires comic book stores, so it doesn’t surprise me that this new mind-blowing video is full of references to their/(our) childhood heroes: Mad Max’s Thunderdome, Mazinger Z’s detachable flying fists, and a bad guy (Yacaré himself) that could’ve been one of Mumm-Ra’s mutants from Thundercats. All this in Afro Samurai anime style and packed with more (and bigger) boobs than Chances’ album cover.
