ICYMI: Jarina De Marco Lets Her Fans and Friends Do The Dancing in “El Venao”

Jarina De Marco has a borderline supernatural talent at transforming classic songs no matter the genre. First, there was her version of “I Put A Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Then there was Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’” sampled on “Main Dish” to great effect. Now there’s “El Venao,” a classic merengue track originally by Los Cantantes.

This time, there aren’t any fancy epilepsy-inducing colors or effects. Instead, Jarina and her film crew set sail (or cab ride) to Santo Domingo, Mexico City, and NYC to shoot a few seasoned dance pros in a studio as well as locals in the streets, at work, etc., dancing to “El Venao.” I mean, it’s pretty difficult not dance to when this jam comes on.
