We recently wrote extensively about Mexican rapper Kap G and his bright present and future with the biggest names in the game. Now, he has a new video with a freestyle, in case you need a reminder of the quality of his skills.
A simple, effortless track that goes without an elaborate arrangement, what we have here is Kap calling and responding to himself, bookmarked by a chorus celebrating one of the greatest boxers that has ever set foot in a ring. The synth lines recall John Carpenter’s soundtracks set on top of a laid back beat.
In the video, we can see him rapping the parking lot of a Home Depot wearing a hoodie emblazoned with a skull wearing a sombrero; the parking lot rhymes are broken up with clips of Julio Cesar’s fights when he was at the top of his game.
