Sergent García has yet another video off his latest album, Una y Otra Vez. And the album’s title ended up becoming a sort of prophesy because, well, we keep premiering his videos una y otra vez. This is the fifth one and at this pace he’s gonna have one video for each of the 14 tracks before he comes out with a new release. I’m not complaining here, I loved Una y Otra Vez and I never get tired of revisiting it, but I’m also eager for new music.
The video is a mix of santería imagery that goes with the song’s theme, and a live performance with his band at S.O.B.’s in New York last year. Anyhow, I don’t practice santería (ha-ha) but I’ve enjoyed every minute of García’s shows every time I saw him. This video came just in time to remind me of his current US tour kicking off today in Los Angeles.
