Leslie Scalapino’s “woman – in cart” is one of my favorite lines of poetry and Chile’s Survey Team is inadvertently channeling this image in their latest video, “RBD.” Cristian Pino directed the clip by having the band (its female lead, Carla Bolgeri, in a shopping cart) perform the actions backwards and then motioning it forward during post-prod. The reverby “RBD” is featured on the band’s collab album with The Same Sky, titled Split.
