When Triángulo de Amor Bizarro‘s “Estrellas Místicas” first came out I was pleased. Not blown away, not breathless, just satisfied. But videos have a way of making you like songs more than you originally did. It doesn’t have to be because the visual is cool—case in point: this video is just them playing instruments—but because it makes the song feel more present. It forces you to confront your feelings toward the song, to see it in a new context. And so, I stand here, now more blown away by “Estrellas Místicas” than I was before, so kudos to director Luis Cerveró for changing the opinion of one very stubborn, very elitist critic.
