Today (Apr. 14), the Panamanian artist Boza released his newest collaboration, “Volar,” with the Puerto Rican singer Dalex.

The new track was born during a flight to Chile. Later, Boza took the concept to the Colombian producer Sky Rompiendo, where they brought the idea to life. To tie it all together, he then asked Dalex to join the song.

“It’s a song that addresses a moment in which we meet someone for the first time and instantly fall in love at first sight,” Boza said in a press statement. “With this song, I’m asking a girl to give me a chance so we can fly together. This is something I’ve experienced, and I think a lot of people have lived through this moment as well.” He also shared that he hopes the song is a way to get closer to the person the listener has feelings for, not just a track you enjoy at the club.

The new video, directed by Lennyn Salinas and Daniel Bethencourt, shows Boza passionately kissing and embracing his lover, played by model and Miss Universe Cordoba (2020, 2021) Carolina Guerra. It also features Dalex laying down his verses, dancing, and being circled by a girl on rollerblades. We then see the duo together in another frame, with a sky-filled background emphasizing the track’s title.

Social media users across the platforms are into the new joint track. A Twitter user wrote, “Volar del Boza ft Dalex was the current romantic dose I needed to hear ✨.” A YouTube user, Lil Grayven, wrote: “From saying he was the most underrated artist to being one of the greatest and most representative artists of the genre, you did it boza.”

“Volar” is the first taste of Boza’s forthcoming studio album. Not only is he working on the album, but he’s also set to go on a U.S. tour soon.
