After tying the knot with Ángela Aguilar, Christian Nodal is finally back with new music. On Aug. 29, the Mexican crooner released “Un Besito Más” featuring rising Gen-Z cumbia pop star Estevie. “Un Besito Más” is part of his newest Pal’ Cora EP 0.1, also released last night.
The new music video features the two Mexican artists performing their new cumbia track about finding it hard to let go of a relationship. The fresh visuals fit the song’s teasing vibe, matching the duo’s passionate verses of pulling back and forth on a relationship that’s fallen apart. With lyrics like, “Solo quédate un poquito más, un besito más / Pretendamos que esto sea como antes / Quédate un ratito más, un besito más / Después de esto, juro que empiezo a olvidarte [Just stay a little longer, one more kiss / Let’s pretend this is like before / Stay a little longer, one more kiss / After this, I swear I’ll start to forget about you],” the artists sing about being indecisive about their next step.
Visually, Estevie is seen moving sultrily on a mechanical bull, swinging on a tire swing, and posing on top of a pool table. Other fervent shots show the duo in the middle of a desert, snuggling together in a car, passionately trading verses, and hugging each other.
Fans have been anticipating this music release after the música mexicana stars performed the new song together earlier this May during a private event.
Now, social media users are praising the new song and music video. An X user wrote: “Simply wonderful, I loved the song, the lyrics, the music, the video, the production, the wardrobe, the interaction, the whole thing, everything, I love it too much!”
Moreover, yesterday (Aug. 29), Nodal also hosted a livestream to celebrate his new EP. He invited Estevie to perform their new collaboration together. But this isn’t the first time the two artists have collaborated. During SXSW 2024, they performed a cover of the classic “Sabor a Mí.”
