Emilia is deep in her ‘90s era. On June 20, the Argentinean singer released her newest single, “La_Playlist.mpeg,” a ‘90s-inspired electro-pop upbeat track ready to be danced in a Dance Dance Revolution competition. The new single is accompanied by a nostalgic music video to go with its throwback aesthetic.

“☆⭐️La_Playlist.mpeg⭐️☆ NOW AVAILABLEeEeEeEe on all platforms for the entire 🌎🌍 ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ – *✰ 𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪,” the pop star wrote online.

The new music video, shot by Ballve, features Emilia surrounded by now-retro items like an iPod Nano and daydreaming at a Blockbuster Video-like store. Her fits feature ‘90s and Y2K elements like lipgloss bordered with dark lipliner, crop tops, and denim. While she lays down her risqué lyrics, she fantasizes about what she would do to a handsome customer – inspired by films in the store.

Moreover, in pure ‘90s and millennial track fashion, she features a quick, bass-heavy bilingual breakdown that gives the song an edgy twist. Altogether, she delivers a fun pop earworm honoring a decade that continues to inspire many international pop stars today.

Fans are thrilled about Emilia’s new song and video. A social media user commented: “I’m obsessed with “The_Playlist.mpeg” by my precious Emilia. 🤩.” An X user wrote: “BY GOD EMILIA THE OFFICIAL VIDEO OF LA_PLAYLIST.MPEG MADREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOU DEVOURED.”

Up next, the popstar’s booked and busy on tour. This summer, she’s performing across Spain, including performances in Granada, Barcelona, and Valencia. After, she will perform in Mexico, including venues in Mexico City (Aug. 9), Querétaro (Aug. 14), Guadalajara (Aug. 16), Monterrey (Aug. 17), Mérida (Aug. 22), and León (Aug. 24).

“La_Playlist.mpeg” follows the singer’s collaboration “Perdonarte ¿Para Qué?” with Los Ángeles Azules. Other recent songs include: “TU Y YO” with KHEA and “JET_Set.mp3” with Nathy Peluso, which was part of her latest album .mp3 (released on Nov. 3, 2023).
