Eslabon Armado took música mexicana to mainstream television. On Oct. 25, the Mexican-American group performed “La Fresa” on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, along with the song’s featured guest, Gabito Ballesteros.

“We lived a great experience today, we thank God for so many achievements, and thanks to our compa @gabitoballesteros for joining us and for his beautiful friendship 🤍🙏,” Eslabon Armado wrote on social media after their performance.

Their collaboration “La Fresa” marks the group’s first single after Eslabon Armado’s latest history-making album, Desvelado. It features classic música mexicana sounds like the classic bajoloche on bass and a melodious trombone. During the live performance, the duo share the stage with charisma as they trade verses about a woman who doesn’t need validation from anyone to each other. They also shout out Mexico in their performance.

Social media users are happy to see the two artists share the stage. An X user wrote: “Eslabón Armado and Gabito Ballesteros are on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon weeeey hahaha 🥵.” A YouTube user, @patriciagarcia7444, wrote: “Since GB started singing, i’ve always supported him, and now that i see the reach he has, its incredible. CONGRATS GB ! Thank you to the show for supporting Mexican music and for giving everyone this opportunity to discover music like this!”

Other users are still wishing Peso Pluma and Eslabon Armado sang “Ella Baila Sola” together on the same stage earlier this year. “It’s great to see Eslabon on the show, I wish he was live with Peso Pluma too tho,” a YouTube user, @ElSilencio-gt6cy, commented.

Talking about “Ella Baila Sola,” the massive hit will be performed for the first time on television at the Latin Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) stage in Seville, Spain, on Nov. 16.
