It’s still Ice Spice season! On July 26, the half-Dominican emerging rapper released the music video for “Deli,” part of her latest Like..? deluxe album release.
“HUNNID BANDZ IN CHANELY💰‼️BUT IM STILL SHAKING A$$ IN A DELI💋💋💋💋,” the popular Bronx-bred artist wrote online to announce her new music video.
Who needs a club when you have the local deli? The new music video, directed by George Buford, Frederick Buford, and Ice Spice, features the 23-year-old twerking in front of K & N Deli and Grocery in New York. She’s seen wearing a necklace that reads “Princess” inside the convenience store, dancing with her crew as she lays the verse to her new bass-heavy banger. Other shots show her dancing with a huge crowd outside the deli and booty-shaking on a party bus, enjoying her time with her girlfriends.
Social media users are liking the new music video that shows Ice’s artistic skills. A YouTube user, cjmcd5914, wrote: “ice got the look, the producer, the bars, instrumental, the drive, the sound, and the push to become the next biggest rapper. IM ALL HERE FOR THE PRINCESS OF RAP!!” Another YouTube user, @preciousmonday8255, echoed the same sentiment: “Her personality is a whole vibe. Love how her confidence and vibe shines through her music. Her growth amazing and she keeps making hits.”
“Deli” comes after Ice Spice’s collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. Last month, she released “Barbie World (With Aqua)” alongside Nicki for the Barbie soundtrack. Before that, she released a remix for “Princess Diana” featuring the Trinidadian rapper. She also did a remix for Taylor’s “Karma,” which dropped in May.
Up next, Ice will perform at the Dubai Night Club in East Camden, NJ, on Aug. 4. After that, she’s set to perform in a string of Australian festivals before embarking on Doja Cat’s The Scarlet Tour on selected dates.
