Rosalía is ready to kick off 2023 with new music. The Spanish singer recently uploaded a teaser of a new song, “LLYLM” (an abbreviation for Lie Like You Love Me), and it’s completely in English.

The song is an upbeat and melodically moody track that combines traditional flamenco flair with pop and R&B influences. In the clip, Rosalía is seen twirling in a sparkly infinity room while mouthing along to the lyrics (“Baby, I love the honesty / lie like you love me”). Another clip of the song uploaded earlier this month featured the Motomami with beau Rauw Alejandro while vacationing in Japan, but it has since been deleted.

Fans of the singer haven’t wasted time, and they’re making it known that they’re ready to hear the song. The reactions and memes have been priceless so far:

“Me each time LLYLM comes up on Tiktok,” wrote one Twitter user with a hilarious clip of Minnie Mouse dancing in someone’s living room over the track.

“I’m holding Rosalia’s grandmother hostage,” wrote a fan in jest. “I won’t let her go until her granddaughter releases LLYLM.”

“[This is] Rosalia after uploading the preview of LLYLM,” says a fan while including a video of Rosalia walking off stage during a concert and dragging the microphone away with her.

The song still doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but it shouldn’t be much longer. After all, Rosalía seems eager to release new music. During her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the 2022 Latin Grammys, Rosalía said she would be hitting the recording studio the following day.
