Yahritza y Su Esencia is back with new music. The Mexican-American family trio joined Banda MS on their newest collaboration and music video, “Solo Que Lo Dudes,” out today (Aug. 11).
When asked about the significance behind the new track, Banda MS said it was an innovative way to blend generations. “The truth is that it was a very good experience, I think this song managed to combine several things,” Banda MS’ vocalist Oswaldo Silvas told Remezcla. “We represent two styles and two generations united in one song. BANDA MS always seeks to innovate and give versatility to their music, and I think that in ‘Solo Que Lo Dudes,’ there is a perfect synergy of mutual admiration.”
The new music video features Yahritza y Su Esencia and Bands MS jamming out in the studio, showing the song recording process. We see shots of the two artists in the recording booths and clips of their live performance together at the Kia Forum last month when Banda MS invited the trio to join them on their hit, “Mi Mayor Anhelo.”
Written by Omar Robles, the song talks about an unmatched love that doesn’t go unnoticed. With the earworm chorus: “Más de lo que pude haber imaginado / Quédate conmigo quédate a mi lado / Este amor bonito no lo para nadie / Vamos a querernos despacito dale / Besito a besito, pa’ toda la vida, yo te necesito [More than I could have imagined / Stay with me, stay by my side / Nobody can stop this beautiful love / Let’s love each other slowly / Kiss by kiss, for life, I need you],” the two acts make for a romantic cumbia for lovers to dance to.
Next up, Yahritza y Su Esencia is set to embark on The Obsessed Tour in Seattle, WA, on Aug. 15. The tour will take them to cities like Portland, San Diego, Riverside, Phoenix, and more.
