Where's the Latin Love, Bonnaroo?

Adios cold as fuck weather and hello hot hell! So New York City seasons seriously seemed to have skipped Spring. And no, I’m not trying to write an “S” tongue twister. May grey. June bloom. Blah. Okay, I may be a tiny tad of a weakling when it’s NYC weather talk, especially migrating from the all-year-round sunny San Ysidro borderlands. But alas, the time has come for fun-in-the-sun, a stroll down the park, summer flings, sipping on some cold caguamas, and of course, more music fests!

June bloom is also the month of the 10th annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival (June 9th-12th). Last year at Bonnaroo, Latinos conquered with tents, the Latino Alternativo, that featured big music heads like Bomba Estereo, Nortec Collective Presents Bostich + Fussible, Ozomatli, Los Amigos Invisibles, Aterceopelados, and Mexican Institute of Sound. But this year, well I shall try to say this as diplomatically as possible, but in all seriousness, where the fuck are my Latin people, dudes?!!

Awesomely enough to redeem themselves, Bonnaroo will feature multicultural, gypsy punk lords, Gogol Bordello. The effervescent octet do have a huge, and I mean huge, Latin following, and also, their spunky Ecuadorian band member, MC Pedro Erazo. The flamboyant frontman Eugene Hütz will even curate his own Gypsy Punk Parranda stage! They definitely got their Latin lingo. Then there are rocker heartthrobs, The Strokes, who include Brazilian gem drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Also on the lineup is electropop Twin Shadow who debuted Forget last year. Nevertheless, Mexican American jokester Cheech Marin will blaze up at his 420 Comedy Blaze set. In the meantime before riding down that gypsy caravan to Manchester, Tennessee (or whatever means will transport you there), here are some videos from the mentioned acts:
