Last night was the 56th Grammy Awards so naturally, I was sitting in front of my TV taking a swig of red wine every time LL Cool J licked his lips. You can imagine how drunk I got. There were a handful of Latinos on stage, including Miguel, who was rocking a fantastic new perm and some on-the-verge-of-tribal boots:

Also there, was royalty Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony who presented Best Pop Vocal Album to Bruno Mars (he’s a quarter Puerto Rican and we still give him love).

There were highlights (Pharrell’s hat) and low lights (Macklemore winning Best Rap Album), and then there were the awards we didn’t get to see.

The pre-telecast ceremony was hosted by Cyndi Lauper and some of our favorites got major credit for their achievements this year. We’re especially excited for La Santa Cecilia, who we’ve been repping on Remezcla since 2009! Here are some of last night’s Latino winners:

Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album:
La Santa Cecilia, Treinta Días
Best Latin Pop Album:
Draco Rosa, Vida

Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano):
Mariachi Divas De Cindy Shea, A Mi Manera

Best Tropical Latin Album:
Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Pacific Mambo Orchestra (They beat Marc Anthony in this category!)
