A recent party on the archipelago of Los Roques, a federal dependency of Venezuela, may have been a hub for COVID-19 contamination, El Nacional indicates. President Nicolás Maduro went as far as to claim that “basically everyone” who attended has tested positive—and there a few well-known urbano artists may be included.

The news site is speculating that among those at the party were Puerto Rican artists Zion, Noriel and Justin Quiles. The trio was in Los Roques between March 13 and 15 with Venezuelan artist NakaryNK filming a video for what is presumed to be a remix of her track, “Sin Tabú,” originally released December 2019.

While socials offer pretty solid proof all of them were in Los Roques that weekend, none of the artists have shared posts indicating any kind of mass gathering during. They haven’t publicly addressed the subject — period.

Since that weekend, all three Puerto Rican artists appear to be focused on staying entertained during self-isolation: Noriel has been teasing the release of the phone numbers of his artist friends and playing with a coronavirus filter in his stories; Justin Quiles asking for fan input in naming a new song, and last Friday, acting out the role of every guest at his self-isolation party; and Zion, according to his IG stories, was recently hunkered down in a high rise in Bogotá, Colombia.

As of Sunday, Venezuela has reported a total of 77 confirmed coronavirus cases, none of which have been fatal.
