After teasing tracks for the past few days, BIA’s debut mixtape, #CHOLASEASON, is now available for download on DatPiff. The production is crisp and polished with a balance of trill trap beats and Pharrell’s signature sound. A few of the Pharrell-produced tracks are referred to as “snippets,” which hopefully means full-length versions will be released later or appear on her debut album.
BIA has cadence that commands attention, spitting catchy bars about her luxe lifestyle. There’s songs to blast in the car like “Chain Swang,” potential club bangers like “Jug Dance,” and she shows a softer side on “Love No More.” Overall it’s a great first impression for listeners to get a taste of BIA’s potential.
