16-year-old Costa Rican producer BomboCat‘s “Junglaton” combines the best effects of Dutch house, moombahton, and jungle terror into one searing, thumping, pulse-pounding, and twerk-friendly hybrid bass production. The track’s zipping synths and traditional Dutch house percussion feeds into moombahton’s low-slung mid-tempo bass, while still retaining the brain-frying electronic melody. Minimal minor key synth stabs poke at electro drums that growl back in return, and by the end of the song, all three genres’ influences are working in tandem to put the unique production over the top.
