Future Brown Teases New Album with Chicago Rapper Tink on “Room 302”

February marks the month when we’ll finally get to hear Future Brown’s self-titled debut album on Warp. They have been slowly unveiling cuts from the LP, like “Vernáculo,” their collaboration with Maluca. Now, they shared “Room 302,” featuring a familiar face: Tink.

The Chicago rapper/singer, who also appears on their first single, “Wanna Party,” brings life to the group’s signature ice-cold production style and successfully showcases each of the members’ voices. Below the vocals and the main synth melodies, there are subtleties and variations that feel important, like unexpected reverb on the snares, the sub-bass tones, and the beat’s start/stop quality. We can only hope they infiltrate the mainstream with their sound, ASAP.
