If you think Hinds has been gone for these past few months, you haven’t been paying attention. The Spanish garage rock quartet spent their 2017 touring incessantly, playing over 350 shows around the world (that’s almost a show a day). Somehow, they found time to write and record the follow-up to their well-received debut album Leave Me Alone. I Don’t Run is set to drop on April 6, through Mom + Pop. It was produced by Gordon Raphael, who you might know for his work on The Strokes’ first two records, and revolves around themes of success and self-doubt. In a Facebook post, the band calls the album “the best thing we’ve done.”

“New For You” is a carefree and catchy indie pop song that tackles the idea of changing for someone else. The song sounds crisp and clear, and the guitar work is precise, but they certainly didn’t forget to add a touch of raw energy through their playful vocals and fuzz. The song comes with a music video, directed by Hinds’ own Carlotta Cosials, where the band heads to the cancha with a crew of friends in tow.
