Venezuelan producer Arca and Hood By Air‘s main man Shayne Oliver have been close friends for years now, and their relationship has crossed over to their careers as well. Not too long ago, we wrote about Alejandro Ghersi walking the runway at the HBA SS16 show during Paris Fashion Week. They’ve now taken it to the music territory, as the pair just shared a 15-minute video of their new joint venture called Wench.

The soundtrack is made of original music and edits of both pop songs and underground tracks by people like t.A.t.U, Cher, Clark, Crystal Castles, The Chemical Brothers, Arthur Russell, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. You’ll find Arca’s personal stamp all over these pieces, arranging ethereal sounds with distorted noises and a fair share of unpredictability. In the last few minutes, we can hear Oliver rapping, and it’s already got us drooling over the idea of a Wench album in the near future.

The video, directed by infallible collaborator Jesse Kanda, was actually put together to serve as a backdrop to the recent HBA Galvanize show. It shows liberating moments of destruction synched up with the songs, where we can see edited and looped footage of bridges and demolitions, and a flock of birds being set free.

Remember, Arca’s sophomore album, Mutant, will be out late fall.
