It seems like ILoveMakonnen will not be resting on his laurels off the strength of his super smash “Tuesday” and a co-sign from Drake. Today, the Atlanta-based rapper dropped “Trust Me Danny,” produced by the song’s namesake Danny Wolf. The up-and-coming 18 year-old producer, who was born in Mexico City but now resides stateside in ATL, laces Makonnen with a psychedelic trap banger of a beat that the MC gamely flows over.
The accompanying street video highlights a raucous house party with plenty of liquor and promethazine to go around, and features a cameo from Wolf’s fellow Hoodrich Entertainment rostermate DJ Spinz. Though the hook refers to Danny as Makonnen’s plug, it’s probably safe to assume Danny is more a dealer of addictive beats than illegal substances.
