It’s only been a few months since the release of La Dame Blanche’s debut album and here we have her again, with a brand new song. “Promesa” continues with the formula established by her previous work, that same peculiar mixture between conscious hip-hop lyrics with reggae and ñu-cumbia riddims.
Argentina’s ñu-cumbia pioneer El Hijo De La Cumbia is back in the production seat but this time he joins forces with reggaetón legend DJ Blass, and together they provide the perfect background for La Dame’s laid back flow. The video simply shows her in the studio doing her thing while holding a cuban cigar (for inspiration, we presume), but doesn’t add much to the song.
