Dearest congregation! The hour is now at hand thanks to La MiniTK Del Miedo who have brought the goth-cumbia baile with their latest EP, La Trilogía de la Salvación, to get your unworthy souls ready for their Sunday appearance at Vive Latino this weekend.
The album arrives just days after the release of the video for “Yo Reinaré,” which appears on the album sandwiched between opener “¡Bruja!” and closing track “Champeta Del Fin.” The opening track is a gothic rave from beginning to end with no room for a break. “Yo Reinaré” takes its cues from industrial groups such as KMFDM while the closing track dials up the Pop in Dark Pop for a sound reminiscent of Skinny Puppy.
It’s certainly more Goth than Cumbia but these weirdos know how to get that dance floor moving.
