Kate del Castillo fans, the wait is over: Today, Netflix dropped the anticipated political thriller Ingobernable, which stars the Mexican telenovela actress as a first lady on the run after the mysterious death of her husband. There’s a national manhunt to find her, complete with chaotic car chase scenes, whirling helicopters and tons of gunfire explosions — and Los Angeles-based band La Santa Cecilia prepares us for all the looming white-knuckle suspense with the show’s brooding theme song “Me Verás.”

The gutsy power ballad foreshadows what we can expect from Kate’s tough-as-nails character. The band’s lead singer La Marisoul is completely defiant as she sings about a woman who knows she’s being hunted down and still threatens, “Me verás a la luz del día, cuando el mundo esté de rodillas, lucharé hasta el final de mi último día.” La Santa Cecilia wrote the song and had it produced by 17-time Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Sebastian Krys. It’s a track that not only gets you in the right frame of mind for intense, action-packed drama — it’ll get stuck in your head within minutes and have you wailing to your friends about some serious venganza.

“Me Verás” is reason enough to check out the series, and it comes just before La Santa Cecilia releases their 12-song visual album Amar y Vivir, which explores the band’s traditional folk roots. They just announced an upcoming tour this summer, and a performance at Hollywood Bowl in September with Café Tacvba and Mon Laferte. Check out dates here, and tune into them —literally — in the opening of Ingobernable, out now.
