The Cómeme crew paired up with Swedish band Little Dragon for a special Christmas gift, exclusively for everyone in Latin America, since we’ve been so good this year. A new EP called Killing Me (Cómeme Remixes) will be out December 12, and it features four dance floor-oriented reinterpretations of the title track, thanks to some of our favorite producers. Cómeme mastermind Matías Aguayo, Daniel Maloso, Christian S, and Djs Pareja all make appearances in the collection.

Killing Me” is definitely a standout track off Little Dragon’s latest album, Nabuma Rubberband; singer Yukimi Nagano sounds like Janet trying to introduce industrial into a pop song. Besides her vocals, the other element that pops out immediately is the fat, saturated bass line, and that’s exactly what Djs Pareja decided to highlight in their remix. The Argentine duo, who just performed at this year’s Buenos Aires and Santiago edition of Sónar Festival, snipped a hypnotic loop from that rich bass and some of the lush and distorted synths, and created a tech-house track for afterhours dance sessions. They limited the vocals to a persistent “you’re killing me,” and halfway through, additional machine gun snares turn the party up. Gracias, San Cómeme, from your Latin American friends.
